to fall asleep in your arms,
to have you around at the start of each day,

with the ceaseless ticking of the clock,
time seems to pass so slowly.
with every hour, with every day,
the yearning in my heart grows stronger
but you are never there.

I wait..
silently,
at the corner of your heart,
ready to catch your fall.

when your heart breaks,
so does mine.
as i watched a countless number of your rise and fall,
feels like centuries long.
the wait of time immemorable.
dont you hear my call?
