i can feel myself drifting back slowly,
into the world of depression and sorrow.
willow trees sprout out from the lake of tears.
im on a rowboat, adrift,
on the lake of sadness.
at the mercy of the water ripples,
gently rocking me further into the abyss of darkness.
what is this peacefully painful place?
phantoms of water so deep, my reflection does not show.
colbalt blue to black,
the taste of a million unfulfilled dreams.
the wind moanfully blows a sad melancholy tune.
as the willow leaves drifts across the lake like a thousand shed tears.
i slowly turn to the baleful moon,
and sing a tale of shattered dreams
